I looked at a bunch of smart locks, chose WYZE due to reviews & the fact I have been happy with 3 cameras & a smart outlet from them. The lock was simple to install, took me about 25 minutes, but I have arthritis in my hands. The lighter color was a very close match for our existing hardware, which is a plus. You can lock by simply hitting the lock key on the pad. Unlocking is done with the fingerprint sensor or the keypad using whatever code you choose. The sensor doesn’t work for me, but I think it’s because of a skin issue I have. It works 100% correctly for my wife. Using the keypad is easy, it lights up in the dark, which is a plus. It’s so nice not having to carry a bunch of keys & fiddle with them while holding bags or whatever, trying to unlock the door. I only wish I’d gone to one of these years ago.It takes AA batteries & the app tells you when they’re getting low. The keypad will also glow red to let you know. They’re on the inside so you don’t have to open the door to change them. So far, we’re getting about 6 weeks between battery changes, which could be better, but I can live with that.The app is fine. Takes about 6 seconds to connect to the lock & lets you lock/unlock & also keeps a log of each time the lock is opened or closed & by whom. Let’s you update firmware & has a manual that’s easy to access & use, though I haven’t needed it but the one time. There are locks you can pay more for that may have more bells & whistles, but this one is a good value based on features, reliability (so far) & price, in my opinion. Recommended.

I tried another mfg lock, twice, yet each device malfunctioned both times. This Wyze was simple to install and has worked FLAWLESSLY a year and seven months later! So convenient, I absolutely love it and highly recommend!

Edit 12/24: Downgraded to 4 stars.After months of using it, and an extended period of dry time, I realized once it started raining, that this device has issues with moist fingers. It’s the only time that the device doesn’t work for me, as for my wife and my female tenant, I also realized that they’re unable to access the fingerprint option, no matter how many fingers you add. The device simply won’t work for thin fingers, if your finger covers the scanner, you’re fine unless it’s moist, if you have a small finger, then most times it won’t work.Hopefully, this is a firmware update away, and Wyze can fix soon. Otherwise, don’t be a female and expect to use the finger scanner.Another issue is the app, the history doesn’t refresh easily, sometimes it just won’t reflect the latest use.Battery life is great, still above 90% since 4 months ago.Original review:If you’ve installed one before this is a piece of cake, the app works great and since I already had one camera with wyze, no need for anything extra to do other than adding the lock to your devices. Takes a couple of uses to get the right angle with your fingers, but once you do it, you’ll wonder how you went without it before.Another great thing about this is that you can schedule when the auto lock comes on. I set it between 6am-11pm because we go in and out so much, it’s annoying during the day. It locks automatically at 11pm and you can change that easily.I also really like how quick it unlocks/locks.So far, I have no complaints about this, will edit if anything changes and to update battery life.

Really great lock. Finger print scanner works very well. Keypad looks great as well. Was very easy to install. Batteries last a long time. Bluetooth range is quite far. Would definitely buy again.
