Easy to Install — Just Make Sure to Set It Up Right
I recently installed the ULTRALOQ Bolt Fingerprint Smart Lock and was pleasantly surprised at how quick and easy the installation was. The only part that threw me off at first was the setup — I added it straight to Apple Home, which caused the lock to turn in the wrong direction and not open correctly.Turns out, you need to first add the lock through the ULTRALOQ app so it can calibrate and detect the deadbolt direction. Once I did that, everything worked perfectly.Now that it’s properly set up, I love how seamlessly it works with Apple Home. For the features it offers, the price is very reasonable compared to other smart locks. Definitely happy with the purchase so far.

Simple, easy, and the app is excellent and easy to navigate network. The finish and style look great on the door and use your phone/app, watch, fingerprints, or codes (and temp codes for guests) for access.I purchased two at work for different buildings access and everything works like you’d expect and as thy should.

Easy to install, a little tricky to connect to WiFi as it uses 2.4ghz only, so you have to know how to configure that on your router. App is easy to use, and BT feature to open door when phone is near is helpful.

A complete disappointment: unsafe, defective, and a serious risk for any home
I purchased this ULTRALOQ Bolt (HomeKit version) with high expectations, trusting the brand’s reputation and its supposed seamless integration with Apple’s ecosystem. I also paid a professional locksmith specialized in smart locks to install it, which was an additional expense.The first day everything seemed perfect, but soon after, the nightmare began: constant disconnections from HomeKit, pairing failures, and, most concerning of all, the lock unlocked itself in the middle of the night without any user action. This is not just a technical issue it’s an unacceptable security risk.Now the lock behaves erratically, sometimes locking or unlocking on its own. I even had to install a separate keyed lock below it just to feel remotely safe. In short, I wasted money on the product, on installation, and completely lost trust in this brand.I reached out to ULTRALOQ’s technical support, and their response was disappointing they simply told me to file a complaint with the seller due to a manufacturing defect.A frustrating, unsafe, and utterly disappointing experience. I do not recommend this product to anyone who values their safety or peace of mind.
