Questions & Answers
How fast does Roto VR Explorer turn?
Top speed is 21 RPM. Look & turn is designed to be a smooth experience, so it purposely doesn’t jolt you from side to side. Racing games will be able to jolt you from side to side – Roto updates every 200ms, so it can get pretty intense.
How much cleared space do I need when playing on Roto?
The Roto VR Explorer base is 76cm (30 inches) in diameter, which is the same as a regular swivel chair, but users swing their arms so we recommend an additional 1m space around the chair for safety.
What games does Roto VR Explorer support?
Roto supports and enhances all games out of the box, but obviously a small percentage of games are designed to be played standing only. Racing and flying games are the only tricky genres, because our Look & Turn technology doesn’t make so much sense, so we are promoting our SDK (software development kit) to developers so they can turn the chair to match their in-game vehicles. We also have some exciting news to share (soon) about PCVR racing and flying games.
Which VR headsets does Roto VR Explorer support?
We have partnered with Meta to deliver the optimum experience with the Meta Quest line of products. Additionally, Roto VR Explorer supports all other all-in-one headsets such as Vive XR Elite, Pico Neo 3 and soon Apple Vision pro. PCVR support is coming soon with the upcoming launch of our PC Advanced Cable Magazine, which allows for USB connectivity through the chair. Unfortunately, some headsets are difficult or impossible to support, such as PSVR 1&2, Varjo, Pimax (PC version), Oculus-S, Reverb G2. Lastly, some legacy headsets are possible to support, but are not a priority currently, which include HTC Vive and Valve Index.
Does Roto VR Explorer need power?
Yes, we supply a switch mode power supply: input 110V-240V, output 19V 9Amps, 220W.
The Roto VR chair revolutionizes VR experiences by synchronizing physical rotation with in-game movement. This 360-degree motion significantly enhances immersion, making virtual worlds feel more realistic. Crucially, this synchronization helps to minimize or eliminate motion sickness, a common issue with VR, allowing for extended and more comfortable gaming sessions. The chair’s design focuses on bridging the gap between visual and physical sensation, creating a more believable and enjoyable virtual reality.
Patented ‘look & turn’ technology transforms the seated 360º experience with its powerful motorized base and full-body haptics resolves motion sickness and enhances immersion. By enabling physical rotation, the Roto VR chair provides an intuitive and natural control scheme. Users can simply turn their bodies to navigate virtual environments, eliminating the need for cumbersome controller inputs. This feature dramatically increases spatial awareness, allowing players to react more quickly and naturally to in-game events.
Designed for extended use, the Roto VR chair prioritizes user comfort with an ergonomic design and adjustable features. The chair is constructed from high-quality, durable materials, ensuring long-lasting performance. Furthermore, users can customize their experience by adjusting rotation speed, haptic feedback intensity, and chair height, tailoring the setup to their individual preferences. The integrated cable management system also contributes to a cleaner and more organized gaming environment.
The Roto VR chair is compatible with a wide range of VR headsets and games, expanding the possibilities for immersive entertainment. Beyond gaming, the chair’s capabilities extend to various VR applications, including virtual tourism, medical training, architectural visualization, and educational experiences. This versatility makes the Roto VR chair a valuable tool for both entertainment and professional use, showcasing its potential to transform how we interact with virtual reality.
The Roto VR chair represents a significant step forward in VR technology, offering a glimpse into the future of immersive entertainment. Its modular design allows for expansion with optional accessories, such as racing wheel and flight stick mounts, further enhancing the user experience. The inclusion of haptic feedback adds another layer of realism, making virtual interactions more visceral. The Roto VR system is designed to evolve, ensuring that users can continue to experience the latest advancements in VR technology.

SteelGeek55 –
Turns your home into your own personal Amusement Park.
I’m a 69yr. old retired Steel Handler/Cutter who’s also a Geek. My online screen name is SteelGeek55. I’ve been playing on & offline console games for almost 30yrs. In 2021 I got the Meta Quest2 and have thoroughly enjoyed it. It brings the movie Ready Player One to life in one’s own personal space. My friend Mike from New Jersey has the PS VR & we can cross-play certain games like Creed2 and others. The problem I started having was after my Wife, of 43yrs, passed away in March 2024 I had to move to an Active Senior Apartment. It’s a great place & I’m in a 2 bedroom Apt. on the 4th floor but I don’t have the room I had when my Wife and I lived in a Townhouse Apt. That’s where the the decision to buy the RotoVR Chair came into reality. Plus even some of the seated games like Combat Roller Coaster didn’t have the freedom I liked because of armrest, tables, or even the fact that having a regular chair that could fall back if I got too excited and that was challenging. I researched the chair and even called customer service in England, where the company is located, because the game was still in preorder status and I needed some questions answered. To my surprise, that day, the CEO of the company was manning the phones wanting to know people’s reaction to this VR Chair. I found out that it was being released in Oct.2024. The price seemed a little steep, but I’ve always been a homebody. Even during the pandemic, my Wife and I didn’t have a problem staying at home. In a way, she also became a gamer, because we started playing her favorite board games on the PS console after we would watch, Wheel of Fortune & Jeopardy every evening but I digress. She even tried Epic Roller Coaster once on VR but the motion sickness got to her. That brings me back to the RotoVR Chair because she could have used this chair, it would have helped her motion sickness. Plus if I had a family, I would definitely have this VR Chair because of the VR Fails I’ve seen on YouTube. Damaginga TV, furniture, a wall or even worse getting injured from a fall or hitting someone else. It’s funny to watch these fails online, but it’s not funny when it happens in your home and you have to pay for it.This chair rotates 360 degrees in both directions, depending on how you move your head. There’s a sensor you place on the top of your headset. It monitors your head movement, and you can also adjust how quick or how slow that movement is. Now, when I hear a Zombie coming up behind me, I can quickly just turn around and take em out. Don’t get me wrong I still have my games like Beat Saber and some exercise games so I do still stand and get a good workout and I enjoy them but the Roto VR Chair is a game changer. It also has rollers, so you can easily move it from one room to another, but the rollers lock so when you’re playing the games, all you’re doing is rotating, you don’t have to worry about the chair moving back and forth on you. It also has a rumble feature but for me, I turned it off. You have that option. In conclusion, I can honestly say I did not get paid for this review, but I believe that when someone sells me a good product, and especially when they give me good customer service I’m going to be the first one to acknowledge it. And lastly I want to discuss the cost. Yes this chair cost me $800 but for me, personally, this is how I justify it. I don’t smoke drink or do drugs. I have a friend that smokes 2 packs of cigarettes a day. That’s $16 a day. That $480 a month every month. That’s $5840 a year.(BTW… I stopped smoking in 2002. It was hard, but the savings & my health motivated me.)We all have our demons. My demons are the zombies in The Walking Dead Saints & Sinner VR game. And with the RotoVR Chair I can seriously say..”I won’t stand for it”…lol. Y’all have a Blessed Day.

They gleem customer service on their website, but fail totally.
I can’t stand companies that radiate customer service on their website but are nowhere to be found. Specially when you’re cheering for a company to succeed because they’re coming up with something innovative. Chair was pretty easy to put together. The chair is very heavy and sturdy. The chair works well and the puck works well. Problem is the puck is super light and cheap. The tab broke trying to put it on my headset. Tried to get a hold of customer service to see if they could do anything, NOPE! Phone calls = “there is no one available at this time, leave a message and we’ll get back to you soon”. Still waiting days later. Their chat of course is not a real person and it will spin you around until it asks you a question that has nothing to do with your problem then you’re stuck. Emails go unanswered. I would have given you 5 stars. Who wants to pay $800 for a chair that you can’t get help with?

Roto elevates the “Reality” part of “Virtual Reality to a whole new level!
I first found out about Roto when reading a story in PC Magazine reviewing Roto at CES earlier this year. So recently, I decided to purchase it for my kids for getting good grades in school. Although I bought this for my kids, who cant get enough of Roto, I tired the chair, and a few weeks later, am vying for time on The Roto chair with my two kids. There is too much to say about Roto in this review. So, in short, all I can say is that The Roto Chair augments everything I see on out Meta 3 device, elevating the “Reality” part of “Viurtual Reality” to a whole new level. There are plenty of wriiten reviews and video reviews in YouTube that go into better detail. Long story short, my kids can’t believe we now have to split our time on Roto 3 ways, so it looks like I’ll soon have to buy my another Roto for our family as as a birthday gift for myself! Thanks a lot Roto! Haha 🙂

Not quite ready for prime time
Didn’t decrease any nauseous feelings for me. I wanted to like this, but it just kept disconnecting about every 15 minutes so I sent it back,, Customer service and tech-support don’t seem to really be connected end up today with each other

Cover on legs of chair are can cause chair to freeze!
Assembly is straight forward. The cover lies flush with the base of chair but has a tendency to confuse the chair sensors and stop the chair during game play. Very annoying. On games… I discovered rollercoaster games on a whole other level. Since the chair rotates it’s like riding a tilt-a-whirl on steroids. Great for shooting targets.Overall… I wouldn’t recommend the chair for the price even though it’s well made. The rumble box is annoying and if you live in an apartment the neighbors will complain because the rumbling transfers to the floor even with carpeting… LOUDLYNo, I haven’t talked to the company but soon will. They have an excellent reviews.

Have now used the chair for a few weeks now, and thought it’s about time I finally reviewed something ! I have had a problem with feeling nauseous while using VR and can safely say the chair helps tremendously with that. Actually turning to see something makes all the difference. The box it comes in is enormous as is the weight ( Ask the delivery driver! ) , but that’s a good thing as it doesn’t feel flimsy in any way. My only complaint with the packaging is the plastic handles seem to fall out easily. After getting a friend in to help with construction it was pleasing how easy it was. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. The lack of cables is refreshing as someone else says and the finished chair is pleasing to the eye.I was worried that the noise it makes might disturb the people below me but they haven’t said anything so it can’t be very noisy, bit hard to tell whilst playing a game.Is it expensive, yes ! But considering what people spend on graphics card ands what you get for your money here it doesn’t seem it once you use it.So I am one happy bunny !

I’ve been using the RotoVR gaming chair for a few days now, and it’s completely transformed my virtual reality setup. The motorized rotating base is incredibly smooth and responsive, syncing perfectly with my head movements in VR. It adds a level of immersion I didn’t even realize I was missing — turning physically in your chair while your view turns in-game makes everything feel more natural and connected.Setup was straightforward, and the build quality is solid and premium. The chair itself is comfortable enough for long sessions, with a sturdy, ergonomic design that feels built to last. I also love that it integrates well with both PC VR and standalone headsets, and the additional accessories like the footrest and haptic feedback modules take the experience even further. If you’re serious about VR and want to eliminate cable tangles and improve immersion, the RotoVR chair is expensive but worth every penny. It’s not a gimmick — it’s a proper piece of kit that elevates your entire VR experience.Highly recommended!

Dropping a star for how long it took to setup. Instructions are clear until the end.Works brilliantly with the VR and moves when you move, no delay or lag.Because it’s so reactive it did make my youngest feel sick so maybe not worthwhile for someone who suffers from travel sickness etc
