Reliable charger that keeps my battery topped off
I got this solar charger to help maintain a 12V battery in my rv that sits for long stretches, and it ended up working better than I expected. Setting it up was simple, and the panel started showing activity as soon as it got some light. I liked that I didn’t have to run any extra wiring or plug anything in—just set it in a sunny spot and let it do its job. The included clips felt secure, and the panel itself seems sturdy enough to handle being moved around or left on the dash. After using it for a while, I noticed the battery stayed much healthier and didn’t dip as low between uses. It’s nice knowing I don’t have to deal with surprise dead starts anymore. I use my truck sporadically, about once a month. A problem arose where the battery would drain from lack of use. After recharging the battery, I fitted this solar charger. A month later, I checked the voltage, which read 12.8. Under normal circumstances, the battery would be dead by this point. I can confirm that this charger works effectively. While I haven’t had the opportunity to test it in harsh weather, I placed the charger to receive direct sunlight for around six hours daily. This duration seems adequate to mitigate battery drain and maintain a full charge. Since the charger remains plugged in constantly, I’m uncertain about its charging time. I’ve tried both the clamps and the lighter socket, with a preference for the clamps. To keep the solar panel on my dashboard at all times, I leave the charger connected while driving.

This unit seems to be well built and does what it is supposed to do. I do wonder if the wattage output is what it is supposed to be as it seems to have a hard time topping off battery when low in my big truck , but it does keep it from draining, which is my whole purpose for purchase. Also, with good sun it Will reach full charge! I would buy it again.

Easy to use solar panel charger
Super lightweight solar charging pad. I used it onto my motorcycle battery and it works great. Charges fast during the sunny day and output is high. Really easy to connect within few minutes and it can be used straight away. Long lasting solar panel

Two bad units out of the box, will not charge, incorrect polarity.
I ordered two of these panels and both are defective out of the box. Does not operate as described.Both are incorrectly wired with the black wire, listed in manual as Negative, and RED wire, listen in manual as positive – reversed. Industry standard is Red = Positive and Black = Negative.Multi-meter confirmed incorrect polarity. I switched wire connections across a fuse block to try to correct issue (we should have to do this!). Swapped polarity but still would not charge battery.Does not charge battery. NO response from product support.While connected to new LiFePO4 12.8v battery, in full sun, all 3 panel indicator lights ( blue, red, green) flash simultaneously. This condition/fault is not documented in user manual and is not document on the brand website. I sent a message to support and did not receive a response as of the time of this review.Multi-meter indicates batter it new and will accept charge, and charges properly by other known good charger.Multi-meter indicates widely fluctuating voltages while in direct sun, suggesting malfunctioning MMPTs. Two bad out of the box? I’ll try a different brand. Returning these.

I have a van that I use occasionally, and I keep struggling with the battery being flat when I want to use it. Replaced the battery but a few months later the same thing happens. So I got this. I wasn’t expecting it to save the day, particularly over a cloudy winter. But how wrong was I? Since plugging this in sat on the dashboard, every time I go to the van it will start, even if it’s been cloudy for a week, it produces enough to keep charge in the battery. It’s really easy to use, you just plug it in, there’s plenty of length on the cable.The indicator lights are in a bit of a silly place hidden underneath the panel, but generally you don’t need to see them. Fantastic value for money and I’m really very pleased with it.

Sorry, no photos but I use this on the roof of my truck to keep the battery charged when idle. My truck seem to suck back about 0.3 to 0.4 amps and this panel keeps my battery charged when truck is parked and not used. I would recommend to anyone that wants to keep the car/truck battery charged to use one of these. The magnetic mounts will ensure that the solar panel stays in place. The magnets are good enough to hold the panel in place while driving. This 12V 20W panel is good to charge the battery at a maximum of 1 amp which is sufficient to keep your battery in great shape.
