Definitely waterproof
Tried them half a mile away with a hill about 100 feet high in between, worked perfect. Crystal clear sounded like the person was standing next to me.

Clips are a bust
Good radios. Clips are fragile

Great for emergencies, hunting, camping, etc
I received these for testing and since bought another two because I like these so much. Easy to use, great sound quality, and good range. They don’t feel flimsy or cheap at all. I tested the range in these by driving a couple miles down the road and the sound was great. It’s hunting season here and I bring these out when we’re in a group just as a safety thing when cell coverage isn’t there. If you’re looking for good walkie talkies then you’d be very happy with these like I have been

great tool
These are useful, quality walkie talkies. I followed the setup instructions and they were ready without a hitch. For the price, they’re great, they sound good when we’re caravaning with someone else, and they can cover a good distance. We take them camping, and they’ve held up well!

Heavy duty indeed. A cool design with nice features.
The first thing one wants to know about walkie-talkies is the range (at least I do). I took one in a vehicle about a mile away, tested connectivity, and they worked well. They didn’t start to drop off until I went a little farther. The sound quality is strong, and I could hear clearly. For it to reach the stated 3 miles, I think conditions would have to be almost perfect, although you must realize, I was in a moving vehicle.I like and prefer the digital screen. It is easy to read and provides all the information one would want from this type of product. It’s well laid out and well placed. A 5-year warranty is a nice compliment and shows the manufacturer stands behind its product. They seem rugged and could probably take a lot of wear and tear, but personally, I wish they were a little more rubberized. I also like that there are two charging options. You don’t necessarily have to rely on the charging dock if you’re in a bind—that’s well thought out.The VOX feature is really cool, especially since these could be used in a work environment where hands-free operation is needed. All in all, a good, solid walkie-talkie.

Among the best FRS radios available.
I have a small collection of FRS radios. I’ve owned walkie talkies from big name brands to no-name junk, from simple to complex, and everything in between. I don’t consider myself an expert, but I know something about the industry.I’ve never heard of Ketelese before seeing this, but their T3F model is among the best designed handheld radios I’ve ever seen. It’s easy to operate and program without needing a computer(indeed, computer programming isn’t an option) and it includes many features I’ve been wishing for. It’s lightweight but has a substantial feel in the hand. No doubt that’s in part due to the IP67 waterproof rating. That implementation includes a flat-head screw to secure the battery compartment. (I would have used Phillips-head, but meh.)They can be charged using the included dock or USB-C. You’d be surprised at how many handhelds require you charge them with MicroUSB, MiniUSB, or some propitiatory standard. The battery is 3.7V lithium-polymer with a 1100 mAh capacity. I do wish replacement batteries were available; but at least lithium-polymer will last years longer than NiMH rechargeables, or worse, disposable AA alkaline. The front panel buttons are flush with the chassis, and require some small effort to press. This makes unintentional button presses much less common. The Lock feature actually disables everything but the Push-To-Talk (what a novel concept). And the long lamented “Call” feature that sends ring-tone transmissions at the slightest provocation can be turned off! Many FRS radios advertise the ability to receive NOAA Weather Radio as a feature. This actually has the alert function, that receives hazardous weather warnings when they’re issued, without you having to change the channel. I’ve seen a few radios that falsely advertise that alert function, these actually implement it correctly. You can monitor two frequencies at the same time, a, “primary,” frequency and a, “Group,” frequency. This in addition to being able to scan all the open frequencies. This is a feature I’ve never seen in an no-license-required radio, and I’m happy to see it here. Though I do wish the group PTT were on the side instead of the front panel. The manual is well laid out, thoroughly complete, easy to read, and easy to understand. The only real complaint I have about this, (aside from the price, $99 for the pair [$49/unit] is a bit high. I’d like to see this closer $30/unit ) Is that the USB-C is used for both battery charging and headset connection. So, if you don’t like the design of the included headset, or it otherwise needs replaced, your options are limited.Overall, amazing product. Highly Recommended. By the way, they never advertised the ability to float.

Feature-Packed FRS Walkie Talkies with Clear, Strong Communication
I got this 2 Pack Ketelese T3 Black and Yellow FRS IP67 Waterproof Walkie Talkies with USB Mini Charger, 1100mAh Rechargeable Batteries, NOAA Weather Alert, 2 Way Radio for a vacation that me and my family took recently. We rented two lakeside cottages and cell service was very spotty. This Ketelese T3 2-pack FRS Walkie Talkies allowed us to stay in communication between the cottages and on the grounds. These are easy to use, with clear and strong reception. Besides the normal FRS Walkie Talkie features, you get NOAA Weather Radio and Weather Alert, so you know if any bad weather is on the way. You also get a decent LED flashlight integrated into the radio. And they’re IP67 waterproof. For the money, these Ketelese T3 FRS Walkie Talkies are a good value.
