Made my life easier in the garage
I’m not a mechanic or anything, but I do all the maintenance on my 2017 Honda-CRV and my family’s cars. The 460T has been a total game changer for me. Perfect tool for DIY car repairs and maintenanceI’m not a professional mechanic but I do all the maintenance on my vehicles and the BLCKTEC 460T has been one of the best tools I’ve picked up in a while. The setup was as simple as plugging it in. It read the VIN on my Accord right away and scanned the whole system without me having to enter anything.The first time I used it was when my check engine light came on. It turned out to be a small EVAP leak,with the tool’s free companion App RS2, which I installed on my phone and paired it with my 460T, it explained what that meant and the most likely causes. I tightened the gas cap, cleared the code, and the light stayed off. That alone saved me a trip to the shop.I’ve used the throttle relearn after cleaning the throttle body and it worked perfectly. The scanner gave clear instructions and I could watch the values change in the live data screen. I’ve also used it for oil resets and to check battery health. The RS2 app is a nice bonus since it gives repair cost estimates and recall info right from the scan.It feels sturdy, the cable is thick and not flimsy, and the case makes it easy to store. For someone who likes working on their own cars, this scanner pays for itself in no time.

Throttle body relearn on F150, save me a trip to the dealer
I’ve had a bunch of scanners over the years but this is the first one that made throttle body relearn actually easy. I cleaned the throttle body on my F150 and of course it wouldn’t idle right afterward. Instead of messing around with weird pedal dance tricks or paying the dealer, I plugged this in and it worked. No confusing menus, just easy to follow instructions right on the screen and in a couple minutes it was idling perfect. I’ve since used it for a brake job on a chevy and that went just as smooth. It also pulls abs, srs, and trans codes fast, and the live data is also easy to read with graphs.Big screen, solid buttons, nice long cord, feels built to last, comes with a protective case. For a home mechanic, this has most of the essential tools I need without the snap on price. solid 5 stars
