A tiny workhorse that never flinches — perfect for Pi flashing on the fly
I’ve put this little Anker reader through absolute abuse flashing Raspberry Pi OS images on my Windows laptop, pulling video off microSD cards, moving firmware, backing up configs, you name it. It lives in my backpack and gets used constantly, and it hasn’t missed a beat once.Transfer speeds are fast and consistent. No random disconnects, no “device not recognized,” no cheap plastic heat-up nonsense. The dual SD + microSD slot setup is perfect when you’re bouncing between Pi projects and other devices. Works well, great transfer speeds, but does get warm
The only thing holding this back from 5 stars is the fact that it gets VERY warm during usage. Does it still chug along just fine? Yes. Can I touch it without burning myself? Yes. Does it seem to cap at a certain heat level? Also yes. BUT despite all these yeses, it’s still a bit concerning to feel it heating up quite significantly whenever I use it. To date it hasn’t done any damage / ever failed me, and I recommend it almost unreservedly.

Much faster than Camera direct-connect copying
Very compact! Works as expected. Much faster than connecting the go-pro itself to the USB for copying files off. I should have bought one of these years ago.

My waterproof camera doesn’t have wifi so this reader works great for sending pics from the memory card to my iphone. Works easily and quickly
