    Replacing the apartment building’s router…
Having just moved into an apartment building we found that the WiFi reception in one bedroom was not optimal—as in, it kept dropping. I thought about replacing the building-supplied router with a more powerful one. But the IT guy suggested this Eero mesh system and I thought that would fix the dead spot issue better than the single point AP.Setup was really easy, simply replaced the existing router with one of the Eero units (they are identical so it doesn’t matter which one), positioned the other unit (of the two) strategically between the router and the dead spot and voila!I chose to keep the SSID and passwords the same so I didn’t have to re-register all my devices and that worked fine. I will say that I did actually have to reinstate the network in a lot of devices (though didn’t change the SSDI and password of course). The BIG PLUS, which I wasn’t expecting in the least, was the enormous increase in speed . The building-supplied WiFi was peaking at 85mpbs, which was ok and quite serviceable. With the Eero mesh in place, download speeds are up at over 300 mbps and the upload speeds are over 250 mbps (!). I assumed that the internet speed was limited by the service into the building, but apparently it was their slow routers. I am one very happy user right now.BTW, I got the 7 series to future-proof the system. Cost a bit more but hopefully I won’t have to upgrade for a long time.

    Now this was an upgrade.
This router by far is amazing for the apartment we live in. The speeds are fast and since my my whole family are gamers it was a must have. To the get the best best speeds it is best to have this setup with wired backhaul, since this router only has 2 channels. So i have one in the master bedroom which is connected to my modem and I ran a 50 foot cat 6 cable from there to the living room to connect the second router and that was it. You can get cable clips for cable management. You can also just connect them via wireless, but you won’t really see your speeds hit above 1 gig range. Just make sure yoh do your research to make sure this is what you need. We had to upgrade from my previous router which was a google home pro because it didnt support ISPs over 1GB. These can handle up to 2.5gb which is what I needed for my ISP.This routers also look nice as well. They dont stick out and scream i am a router. I like how you can also change the brightness of the LED status light as well. The app is very easy to use and gives you all the information you need. If you want to get the best speeds, ensure you go into setting and turn on a few settings like MLO which is important to get those wifi 7 speeds and connections. All in all we are very pleased with purchase and like how easy it will be to add additional routers in the future. With this setup all my smart home devices and our personal devices are all connected. We have been enjoying the speeds so far and there has been no lag with us streaming movies and online gaming.

Great product, although getting it started up was not seamless
Really nice software (once up and running) with the longest support cycle of any manufacturer- get this in 2025 and you shouldn’t need a new router for security reasons until at least 2033 and hopefully longer. So much better than the netgear stuff I had to replace just because software support ended way too soon. Also has solid connectivity and sqm for load management and good warranty support. You do need to enable sqm, which is stupidly off by default. The other dumb thing was the setup sequence. Router went green and then the app threw a completely useless message saying “something went wrong” and saying contact support, which was just a link to a useless faq page. I figured it out on my own- you need to power down the modem and router for 10 minutes to reset the mac address for your isp, as the modem determines your ip address from your router for some reason. After that and enabling sqm, rock solid performance and great range and clear software messaging about status.5 stars as the good here definitely outweighs the bad. Just have your wits about you during setup.

Great system, but missing a key feature
I’ve been using Eero for a while and really appreciate its reliability, sleek design, and ease of setup. It’s a solid mesh system that works well for most households. However, one major feature is missing: device prioritization. In homes or offices where multiple devices compete for bandwidth—especially during video calls, gaming, or streaming—it’s essential to be able to prioritize traffic for a specific device. Competing mesh systems like Google Nest WiFi and TP-Link Deco offer this, but Eero doesn’t. There’s no way to designate a “preferred device” or apply Quality of Service (QoS) settings.I hope Amazon adds this to the Eero roadmap soon. Even a simple toggle to temporarily prioritize a device would make a big difference. If you’re considering Eero and this feature matters to you, keep it in mind.

    Well worth every penny!
I spent the better part of 2 years going back and forth with my ISP. They claimed I was getting the gig to the modem and router – but their router was not even giving me over 300 wi-fi. Countless tech visits and equipment changes… still the same outcome.Last tech visit, the gentleman suggested I go w a mesh system, and bonus, I had Ethernet lines already run in my home.I bought a 2 hub Eero system and the moment I plugged it in I was seeing OVER 1 GIG!This system is far superior to any of the ISP equipment you pay for monthly, even if they claim it’s rated to a certain speed. It’s not – EERO IS! Wish I could give 10 stars.Again out of both hubs, I’m getting between 900 Mbps -1.1 Gig!

Easiest home mesh network setup yet
We moved from a single story home to a larger home that also had a basement. We had previously had an Orbi system that I felt performed well but the consistency and ease of use with the Eero 7 line is next level. We are covering roughly 3800 sqft with the 3 pack and it does the job perfectly. Set up was easy and took less than 20 minutes for me to have all 3 connected and running well. The app does a great job of making things simple too!
