I got this for my partner because he is a Twitch streamer, he streams himself fishing, and it can be a bit hard to stream oneself when fishing. He’s used it a couple times so far and seems to be really impressed by it. The quality is quite nice, and the tripod is very sturdy (standing-wise and for holding his phone) compared to other cell phone tripods he has tried out. It is also handy that the tripod has a decent range for height settings. Overall, this cell phone tripod is receiving 5 stars. Unless a negative comes up upon further use, it will remain at 5 stars.

My stepdaughter needed a mobile phone stand so she is able to pursue her hobby of amateur photography. We have a Canon DSLR camera much better suited for such a task but she prefers the simplicity of her mobile phone camera. And in all honesty, I can’t disagree. We usually set out on adventures without the DSLR so this device may come in handy for the rest of us, as well.So what does Vimose provide? An extendable, 66 inch, or 1.68 metre tall, tripod mobile phone stand. It is extendable and combines plastic and aluminum structures and locking mechanisms to transform between a short, three legged bar stool and a tall, high rise building observation deck. The stand consists of a three legged, foldable base, a central hub connecting the legs to the housing center column which extends/adjusts height, a mounting head to attach mobile phones, and a phone holder or adapter for the phone itself. A Jack of all trades, as it were.The tripod extends upward, as it should, with the centralized hub containing a total of four extendable cylinders with an easy to operate flip lock at the top of each fully extended cylinder. Flip the latch to a winged position to unlock the cylinder, slide it up and replace the latch to the locked position once the desired height is attained. Each flip lock is very easy to manipulate. The tripod itself is is stabilized by sliding the legs down which through their own mechanism are secured by braces on each leg which are connected to the bottom of the main cylinder with a circular bracket. When the legs need to be retracted back into their dormant position simply knock the hough upward and it bends, much like your friends leg when you jolt the rear of their knee when standing on one leg. Not as funny but still effective.At the very top are the mobile phone holder which is secured to the top extension arm through a joint and tightened to prevent movement using a thumb screw and turning knobs to secure the mobile phone within the grip which is also lined with a softer padding to prevent damage to the mobile. The holder can be rotated between a horizontal and vertical position to permit photo and video capture at wider angles. An all black finish, the tripod complements its surroundings and the very mobile phones it supports during photo shoots. Also included is a shutter remote for picture taking allowing the user to step away from the mobile and stand for selfie style pictures or, for example, lifting the camera high to peer over an obstacle where activating the shutter button on the mobile phone will be impossible when propped high with the tripod. Simply connect the device to the mobile’s Bluetooth and you now have a way to circumnavigate tall structures like walls and fences.However, it does feel unsteady when fully deployed. Certainly would not deploy this with an expensive mobile phone within its grip during Mother Nature’s windy tenures. The combination of plastic and aluminum also detract from an otherwise robust quality. The phone holder itself is somewhat difficult to align properly and sags when tightened. The mechanism provides inadequate pressure to restrain the mobile phone, particularly the larger versions such as the iPhone 16 PRO MAX or Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.I can say I do recommend this tripod stand despite its shortcomings. Again, it is imperative that the device not be deployed with elevated wind velocity as the mobile phone will act as a sail which can be easily swept away. Also advise to be careful with this lightweight, portable device as it does feel fragile and prone to failure. Otherwise it provides great support for amateur photography and in tourist settings where certain structures impede views. And the wireless shutter activator is a nice touch!
