    Wonderful unit, power hog
These are cool, easy to program, function well, have adjustable power output and will pair to bt AND wifi ( not at the same time). The battery is small (1100ma) and runs out in ~ 6-8 hrs…The only downside on this radio with the heltec board is it is a power hog, the rack 4631 is about 5 or 6 times more power efficient but doesn’t connect to Wi-Fi… if using a solar node go with the rak, if you’re going to use it at your house the heltec is a nice unit

    Great buy and great device!
If you’re just starting out with Meshtastic, this is an excellent intro device. Comes with everything you need to connect to the mesh network. Battery life seems great so far and building it was easy enough. You absolutely need to connect it to a computer and program it before using it, but it was a very easy process. This is exactly what I was looking for and the price was great! Device, case, antenna, and battery!! Very impressed

    Easy to install
There is no space for batteries. Apart from that, it is well made, easy to use.

    Work good
These work good! I am running mashtastic. Be careful, even though it shows a battery in the image, it does not include the batteries. On a side note, this device does not have a power switch so if you want to turn it off you have to disconnect the battery.

Battery not included, screen quite fragile
    * battery not included, which is fine but could be clearer* One screen broke almost immediately* Easy to flash with meshtastic* Not tough to assemble, but make sure you’re careful around the screen

Solid little radios for the price
They require a few steps of physical assembly (but no tools required). And easy to flash the Meshtastic firmware onto!

Decent concept – support could definitely be better.
One of the two devices worked flawlessly. The assembly of the devices was relatively easy, and flashing was not difficult. One of the two devices did not emit a signal and stayed in a persistent discovery mode and would not pair. I reached out to the vendor for a solution and got in a loop of emails back and forth with no tangible solution. If both devices worked correctly, I would say the value was good for the cost. The sturdiness of the case and size were accurate and well-made, and the looks are pleasant.Recommend not buying through this vendor if their only solution is to keep you on the hook until the return window expires. Will update should I get a better solution.

Pain to get my PC to recognize the device, but it’s worth it
This LORA device is a pretty sweet first step into the Meshtastic network. It allows the broadcast and receiving of RF on a tiny little device.Assembling the device was pretty straight forward. It has a 3M double sided sticky that you stick the battery on. The cutout of the case fits the board easily, and the provided blue bordered screen protector fits perfectly and really easy to apply because it’s a little recessed where you need to apply it.The tricky part is that your computer may not have the proper driver to recognize the board. You may have to google a driver to recognize the device properly as you will need to flash the software from the Meshtastic website for it to function properly. When you’re on the website, it’s pretty easy (with the proper USB driver), it was fairly painless to flash. If you’re afraid that you’ll mess up, just look up a video that explains everything step by step (don’t forget to hold down the boot button when you plug the device to the computer!)I was able to download the Meshtastic app on my Fold 6, and it paired via Bluetooth easily. From there I was able to start conversing with others on the network!I will say, I’m not an expert when it comes to LORA or RF, but for its price, you really can’t beat it as a first step. I’ll probably get something a bit “nicer” down the line and keep this as my home, but it’s really freaking cool and I like that you don’t need a special license like HAM radios to be able to use the network.
